Lauren M. Taylor
Originally from Appalachia, I grew up in rural northern Kentucky. My home inspired a love for forest ecosystems.
Interested in learning, I won my state's language arts quiz bowl in 2019, and enrolled in a residential public high school based at Western Kentucky University for 11th and 12th grade. I won a full scholarship to Stanford's Class of 2025 in 2020.
I now study conservation and sustainability through the Biology department at Stanford University. My current research analyzes the ecological relation between available land, species richness, and the maximum and minimum sizes of land snails.
I am also pursuing a minor in Data Science to develop the quantitative skills necessary to analyze and model ecosystems.
In my free time, I like to boulder, organize events for my dorm, and bake.
